CHRYSOMYCIN: A NEW ANTIBIOTIC SUBSTANCE FOR BACTERIAL VIRUSES
Ch Chrysomycin, which contains only carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, does not appear to be identical with any of the yellow antibiotic substances derived from Streptomyces although its ultraviolet spectrum shows certain similarities with that of aureolic acid.

AN ANTIBIOTIC SUBSTANCE ACTIVE AGAINST MYCOBACTERIUM TUBERCULOSIS.
AKLAVIN, AN ANTIBIOTIC SUBSTANCE WITH ANTIPHAGE ACTIVITY
Investigations with culture A 1165 resulted in the isolation of orange-colored crystalline salts (hydrochloride, picrate, helianthate) of a nitrogen-containing base which itself was not obtained crystalline, and these salts were probably not homogeneous.
A survey of actinomycetes for antiphage activity.
Cholinesterase and Electrolytes
We have found some effects of electrolytes on the activity of cholinesterase, which may explain the well-known effects of these electrolytes on irritability.
d-Glyceric Aldehyde and Tumour Glycolysis
This work has shown that dl-glyceric aldehyde inhibits glycolysis of tumour cells and that concentrations higher than 4 × 10−3 M. of the aldehydes are toxic.
