The results show that the knowledge on biodiversity in most Brazilian PAs remain scant as 71% of PAs have less than 0.01 species records per km2, and the current PA network fails to protect the majority of endemic species.
The strong influence of collection bias on biodiversity knowledge shortfalls of Brazilian terrestrial biodiversity
The knowledge on species richness, species composition and endemism in the Brazilian biodiversity is strongly biased spatially, and despite differences in sampling effort for each taxonomic group, roadside bias affected them equally.
A new species of Pseudopaludicola Miranda-Ribeiro (Anura: Leptodactylidae: Leiuperinae) from eastern Brazil, with novel data on the advertisement call of Pseudopaludicola falcipes (Hensel).
This new species from lowlands of eastern Brazil is formally described and diagnosed mainly by its small size, terminal phalanges knobbed, proportionally short hindlimbs, 11 pairs of chromosomes, and advertisement call composed of series of three-pulsed notes, emitted at a high rate.

Amphibia, Bokermannohyla nanuzae, Scinax curicica, Leptodactylus camaquara , Physalaemus evangelistai , and Proceratophrys cururu : Distribution extensions
It is suggested that many species thought to be endemic to Serra do Cipó occur on a more extended area at SerraDo Espinhaço range, in central Brazil.
Impacts of mining activities on the potential geographic distribution of eastern Brazil mountaintop endemic species
A new species of Crossodactylodes (Anura: Leptodactylidae) from Minas Gerais, Brazil: first record of genus within the Espinhaço Mountain Range.
The new species inhabits rupicolous bromeliads in open areas of rocky fields, and is recorded in altitudes between 1836 and 2062 m above sea level, extending the genus distribution for about 325 km northwest from where it was known.
