Observations suggest that Pkh‐kinase signaling relayed to Pil1 may help regulate endocytic events to modulate the organization of the plasma membrane.
The epichaperome is an integrated chaperome network that facilitates tumour survival
- A. Rodina, Tai Wang, G. Chiosis
- BiologyNature
- 5 October 2016
It is found that under conditions of stress, such as malignant transformation fuelled by MYC, the chaperome becomes biochemically ‘rewired’ to form a network of stable, survival-facilitating, high-molecular-weight complexes.
An unfolded protein-induced conformational switch activates mammalian IRE1
- G. Karagöz, D. Acosta-Alvear, Hieu T Nguyen, Crystal P. Lee, F. Chu, P. Walter
- BiologyeLife

This work shows that similar to yeast, human IRE1α’s ER-lumenal domain (hIRE1α LD) binds peptides with a characteristic amino acid bias, and provides evidence for a unifying mechanism of IRE 1 activation that relies on unfolded protein binding-induced oligomerization.

- BiologyPLoS ONE
- 11 June 2008
Four novel TbAUK1 associated proteins are identified by tandem affinity purification and mass spectrometry, indicating a most unusual CPC-initiated cytokinesis in a eukaryote.
Hdac6 regulates Tip60-p400 function in stem cells
- Poshen B. Chen, Jui-Hung Hung, T. Fazzio
- BiologyeLife
- 3 December 2013
It is shown that the class II histone deacetylase Hdac6 co-purifies with Tip60-p400 complex from ESCs, and it is found that, like canonical subunits of Tip60 -p400, HdAC6 is necessary for robust ESC differentiation.

Histone Acetylation and Chromatin Remodeling Are Required for UV-B–Dependent Transcriptional Activation of Regulated Genes in Maize[W]
Chromatin remodeling is shown to be a key process in acclimation to UV-B, and lines deficient in this process are more sensitive toUV-B.
