Ten predaceous mite species, belonging to eight families, were collected from fruit and timber trees in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and can be used as biological agents against phytophagous mites in Saudi Arabia.

Schizosthetus lyriformis (McGraw and Farrier, 1969) is redescribed for all instars, emphasizing ontogenetic changes in sensillar and gland patterns of all body parts, allowing recognition of some previously unreported patterns.

The present study is the first scientific study on Saudi eriophyoid mites, belonging two families, Eriophyidae and Diptilomiopidae, belonging to four species of fruit crops covering four different production localities in Riyadh.
