This paper reports an experience in the early diagnosis and treatment of pelviureteric avulsion, whether or not it is associated with parenchymal damage; such avulsion in itself must be evaluated first, as it determines the treatment required and conditions the prognosis.

Solitary neurofibromas of the genitourinary tract are rare; rarer still are neurofibromas of the urinary tract associated with the neurofibromatosis of von Recklinghausen's disease. We report the unusual occurrence of neurofibromatosis of the bladder in one child. The literature is reviewed.
