Tumors producing weak mineralocorticoids are exceedingly rare and most of them predominantly produce 11-deoxycorticosterone. We present a case of adrenocortical adenoma in which the overproduction of 18-hydroxydeoxycorticosterone exceeded that of 11-deoxycorticosterone.

A case of a left-sided vena cava with primary aldosteronism is presented. Preoperative computerized tomography revealed a left-sided vena cava. We also used a new method, three-dimensional visualization, for diagnosis of the present case. This method provided us with a superior image of the anomalous vena cava.
