The diversification of neopasiphaeine bees during the Cenozoic (Hymenoptera: Colletidae)
The present paper integrates phylogenetic, biogeographic and paleontological data to reconstruct the evolutionary history of Neopasiphaeinae, with special emphasis on the New World taxa, relating the evolution of these bees to changes, such as the Andes uplift and expansion of open vegetation biomes. A new species of Neoathripsodes Holzenthal, 1989 (Trichoptera: Leptoceridae) with new generic and species records in Bahia State, Brazil.
A new species of Neoathripsodes is described, with the first description of a female in this genus, and new records for the family Leptoceridae in Bahia, especially from the Serra Bonita Mountains are presented in order to help solve a long-term problem in Brazilian caddisfly research. Expand
Fourteen new species of Oecetis McLachlan, 1877 (Trichoptera: Leptoceridae) from the Neotropical region
Eight of the new species presented here could not be reliably placed in one of the known species groups and are placed in the punctata-group, and the shape of tergum X is focused on. Expand
A new species of Oecetis McLachlan, 1877 (Trichoptera: Leptoceridae) from Southeast Brazil: validation of an unpublished species
A new species collected in Southeast Brazil based on male specimens is described, recognized by its dorsolateral process on segment IX being slender, curved ventrad, and with the same length as the phallic apparatus, and by its inferior appendages each with its distal lobe cylindrical. Expand
A Review of the Genus Oecetis (Trichoptera: Leptoceridae) in the Northeastern Region of Brazil with the Description of 5 New Species
Five new species are described, additional characters for diagnosing seven of the species recorded from Brazil, new distributional records, and a dichotomous key to the Brazilian species are provided. Expand
A new species of Phylloicus Müller, 1880 (Trichoptera: Calamoceratidae), from southeastern Brazil, including descriptions of larval and pupal stages
The cosmopolitan family Calamoceratidae Ulmer, 1906, has 8 living genera, among them Phylloicus Muller, 1880, with species distributed from South to Central America. This genus is characterized byExpand
Illustrated catalogue of type specimens of insects (Hexapoda) at Coleção Entomológica "Prof. J.M.F.Camargo" (RPSP), Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil.
The present catalogue lists the insect types (Hexapoda) deposited at Coleção Entomológica "Prof. J.M.F.Camargo" (RPSP), Universidade de São Paulo, Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, known as one of the most significant depositories of stingless bees for the Brazilian and Neotropical faunas. Expand
Two continents and two names for a Neotropical colletid bee species (Hymenoptera: Colletidae: Neopasiphaeinae): Hoplocolletes ventralis (Friese, 1924)
It is reported that the same labeling problem happened with Dasycolletes chalceus Friese, 1924, which remained as a tentatively placed species in the Australian genus Leioproctus until now, which is interpreted as a synonym of Hoplocolletes ventralis. Expand
Systematics of Neotropical Oecetis McLachlan, 1877 (Trichoptera: Leptoceridae): When the taxonomy and phylogeny meet
This study proposes a phylogenetic hypothesis for the Neotropical species of Oecetis based on morphological characters and review most of its diversity taxonomically, offering a dichotomous key for specimen identification and new country records in the Neotropic region. Expand

An updated checklist of caddisfl ies for Mato Grosso do Sul state, representing nine families, 24 genera, and 16 species, four of them are new species records for the Brazilian country. Expand
