It is indicated that CHD in DS children can be repaired with a low death rate and low incidence of severe mitral atrioventricular valve regurgitation in the CAVC group.
Tooth surface-pellicle lipids and their role in the protection of dental enamel against lactic-acid diffusion in man.
A single-sample method for determination of carbohydrate and protein contents glycoprotein bands separated by sodium dodecyl sulfate- polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis.
The method was successfully applied to the determination of molar and weight percentage composition of human transferrin, band 3 protein, glycophorin A, and alpha(1)-acid glycoproteins and the results obtained were practically identical.
Structures of the neutral oligosaccharides isolated from A-active human gastric mucin.
Structural characterization of neutral oligosaccharides of human H+Leb+ gastric mucin.
In comparison to progenitor platelets, microparticles are deficient in GpIb, GpIb-derived carbohydrates, glycerophospholipids, glycosphingolipids, and ceramides.

Musical studies indicated, that in terms of cholesterol and protein contents, microparticles resembled platelets rather than platelet membranes as previously thought, they are, however, deficient in certain components.

It is concluded that the absence of highly branched glycosphingolipids in cord and i erythrocytes as well as the reduction of apparent molecular weights of the glycoconjugates, which are substrates for A-gene-specified transferase of GalNAc, result from a single cause, that is an inadequacy of the biosynthetic process which is responsible for the formation of GlcNAc1.
Studies on the structure and I-blood-group activity of poly(glycosyl)ceramides.
Employing a modified technique of acetolysis, the glycolipids were found to contain an excess of N-acetylglucosamine over galactose, and the presence of two types of sugar sequences has been established.
Lipids associated with dog gastric mucus glycoprotein.

The results suggest that the interaction of mucus glycoprotein with phospholipids involves its nonglycosylated region.
