Results of a phase 2 study of pacritinib (SB1518), a JAK2/JAK2(V617F) inhibitor, in patients with myelofibrosis.
Pacritinib is an active agent in patients with MF, offering a potential treatment option for patients with preexisting anemia and thrombocytopenia, and the study drug was discontinued in 9 patients due to adverse events.
Gastric emptying and interdigestive antroduodenal motility in patients with esophageal scleroderma.
Patients with the same degree of esophageal motor impairment have different degrees of GER may lie in the fact that the concomitant impairment of gastrointestinal interdigestive cyclic clearing activity and the delay in gastric emptying may allow a larger quantity of material to remain stagnant in the gastric lumen, readily available for gastroesophageaal reflux.
Evaluation of stage 4 neuroblastoma patients by means of MIBG and 99mTc-MDP scintigraphy.

- Medicine, BiologyJournal of nuclear biology and medicine
- 1 September 1993
99mTc-MDP scan is necessary to fully assess bone involvement in neuroblastoma at diagnosis and when MIBG scan was repeated after chemotherapy there was a general reduction of the number of detected lesions and in 8/17 patients both bone metastases and marrow involvement could no longer be detected.
Effect of a mineral water on gastric emptying of patients with idiopathic dyspepsia.
- M. Bortolotti, E. Turba, C. Mari, S. Lopilato, A. Scalabrino, M. Miglioli
- MedicineInternational journal of clinical pharmacology…
The gastric emptying of mineral water was significantly faster than that of tap water, both in dyspeptic patients and in healthy subjects, and further studies are needed on the possible role of this water in the management of chronic idiopathic dyspepsia.
Retained gastric antrum syndrome diagnosed by [99mTc] pertechnetate scintiphotography in man: hormonal and radioisotopic study of two cases.
Scintiphotography by pertechnetate seems able to demonstrate the presence and the size of retained gastric antrum in B II gastrectomised patients with recurrent ulcer.
Results of a phase II study of lenalidomide and rituximab for refractory/relapsed chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
Results of a phase 2 study of pacritinib ( SB 1518 ) , a JAK 2 / JAK 2 ( V 617 F ) inhibitor , in patients with myelo fi brosis
This paper aims to demonstrate the efforts towards in-situ applicability of EMMARM, which aims to provide real-time information about the safe and effective use of EMT in the treatment of cancer.
Tumor Markers and Lung Cancer: Guidelines in a Cost-limited Medical Organization
- F. Falcone, M. Marinelli, M. Rapellino
- Medicine, BiologyThe International journal of biological markers
- 1 April 1996
Since the expense lies predominantly in the cost of reagents, it is suggested as a routine procedure to collect and store samples for tumor marker assay in all cases; the test should be performed in a selected population of patients with negative cytology and “suspect” clinical outcome.
[Changes caused by mineral water on gastrointestinal motility in patients with chronic idiopathic dyspepsia].
This mineral water has a stimulating effect on both gastric emptying and interdigestive cyclic motor activity of the gastroduodenal tract, which could be useful in the treatment of chronic idiopathic dyspepsia and impaired gut clearing.
111In-octreotide scintigraphy in endocrine tumors. Preliminary data.
- N. Cremonini, A. Furno, E. Turba
- Medicine, BiologyThe quarterly journal of nuclear medicine…
- 1 June 1995
Octreotide scintigraphy is a useful noninvasive tool to detect endocrine tumors expressing somatostatin receptors, particularly for carcinoids and Cushing syndrome, and may be useful in selecting patients who may benefit from octreotide therapy to control hormonal hypersecretion effects.
