Evidence is added that C. fetus bloodstream infection should be suspected in elderly patients with fever, immunodeficiency and cardiovascular damages, and Imipenem seems to be the most active drug, especially in severe cases.

A calculated approach based on the Higgs method for assigning the vibration modes of an infinite helicoidal polymeric chain has been performed on the basis of a reliable valence force field and results clearly show that the phosphate-backbone modes in the above mentioned spectral region constitute the optical branches of the phonon dispersion curves with no detectable variation in the first Brillouin-zone.

A cellular route of lipid/plasmid complexes from the beginning by endocytosis, entrapped into endosomes, released by the latter until entry in the perinuclear area, and then penetration of plasmids inside the nuclei resulting in the observed expression of the beta-galactosidase gene is shown.
