Trophoblast invasion: the role of intracellular cytokine signalling via signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3).
The balance of these two intracellular molecules seems to be a key regulator of tumour and trophoblast invasion.
Generation of Multicellular Breast Cancer Tumor Spheroids: Comparison of Different Protocols
- Karolin Froehlich, J. Haeger, A. Schmidt
- BiologyJournal of Mammary Gland Biology and Neoplasia
- 12 August 2016
Hanging drops supplemented with 25 % methocel is recommended as the most reliable and efficient method with regard to success of generation of uniform spheroids, costs, experimental complexity and time expenditure in the different cell lines.
Thrombolytic therapy in pregnancy
- G. Leonhardt, C. Gaul, H. Nietsch, M. Buerke, E. Schleußner
- MedicineJournal of Thrombosis and Thrombolysis
- 1 June 2006
Considering that rt-PA does not cross the placenta and taking into account that the complication rates do not exceed those of large randomised controlled trials thrombolytic therapy should not be withheld in pregnant patients in case of life-threatening or potentially debilitating thrombembolic disease.
Multicentre study of fetal cardiac time intervals using magnetocardiography
- J. Stinstra, E. Golbach, M. Peters
- MedicineBJOG : an international journal of obstetrics and…
- 1 November 2002
A database with reference values of the durations of the various waveforms in a magnetocardiogram of fetuses in uncomplicated pregnancies is assessed and will be of help to discriminate between pathologic and healthy fetuses.
Human fetal heart rate variability-characteristics of autonomic regulation in the third trimester of gestation
A combined analysis of fHRV, based on SDNN/RMSSD and PE_Mean, and fHRP is advantageous in the assessment of maturation of the fetal autonomic nervous system.
Fatty acid distribution of cord and maternal blood in human pregnancy: special focus on individual trans fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acids
- Uta Enke, A. Jaudszus, E. Schleußner, L. Seyfarth, G. Jahreis, K. Kuhnt
- MedicineLipids in Health and Disease
- 30 December 2011
Fetal blood fatty acid composition essentially depends on and is altered by the maternal fatty acid supply, and it can be concluded that t 11 differs from t 9 regarding its metabolism and their impact on fetal LC-PUFA.
Trophoblast invasion: tuning through LIF, signalling via Stat3.
The prevention, diagnosis and treatment of premature labor.
- E. Schleußner
- MedicineDeutsches Arzteblatt international
- 1 March 2013
The goal of all attempts to prevent and treat preterm labor is to improve preterm infants' chances of surviving with as few complications as possible, so to reduce perinatal morbidity and mortality.
Low-molecular-weight heparin for women with unexplained recurrent pregnancy loss: a multicenter trial with a minimization randomization scheme.
Daily LMWH injections do not increase ongoing pregnancy or live-birth rates in women with unexplained RPL and are not recommended for preventing miscarriage, given the burden of the injections.
Fetal heart rate variability reveals differential dynamics in the intrauterine development of the sympathetic and parasympathetic branches of the autonomic nervous system
Investigating the hypothesis that fetal beat-to-beat heart rate variability (fHRV) displays the different time scales of sympatho-vagal development prior to and after 32 weeks of gestation found that fHRV reveals the increasing activity of the respective branches of the autonomic nervous system differentiating the types of fHRP.
