Variability of average SUV from several hottest voxels is lower than that of SUVmax and SUVpeak
PET imaging provides functional parameters of18F-FDG-positive lesions, such as SUVmax and SUVpeak, which should improve SUV accuracy for predicting outcome or assessing treatment response through further prospective studies.
Noninvasive assessment of pulmonary arterial hypertension by MR phase-mapping method.
- E. Laffon, F. Laurent, V. Bernard, L. De Boucaud, D. Ducassou, R. Marthan
- MedicineJournal of applied physiology
- 1 June 2001
A magnetic resonance (MR) imaging method that emphasizes pressure wave velocity to noninvasively assess pulmonary arterial hypertension is described and estimated two pressure values to frame the actual Ppa value in each patient from the present series with a reasonable reliability percentage.
Feasibility of aortic pulse pressure and pressure wave velocity MRI measurement in young adults

To investigate the feasibility of assessing, noninvasively, aortic pulse pressure (APP) and pulse wave velocity (PWV) in the ascending aorta of young adults by means of velocity‐encoded magnetic…
Tuning of pulmonary arterial circulation evidenced by MR phase mapping in healthy volunteers.

It is verified, in this series, that pressure wave velocity appears to be age-dependent and can be explained using a simple "distributed" theoretical model that takes into account the role of a reflected pressure wave from pulmonary vascular impedance in generating a diastolic flow.
The Effect of Renal Failure on 18F-FDG Uptake: A Theoretic Assessment
- E. Laffon, A. Cazeau, +4 authors D. Ducassou
- MedicineJournal of Nuclear Medicine Technology
- 1 December 2008
This work addresses the issue of using 18F-FDG PET in patients with renal failure by proposing that the injected activity be lowered and the acquisition be started between 45 and 160 min after tracer injection, depending on the severity of renal failure.
FDG PET for therapy monitoring in Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas: qPET versus rPET
Dear Sir, Barrington and Kluge recently reviewed the role of FDG-PET imaging for therapy monitoring in Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas (HL and NHL) and emphasized the importance of…
A computed method for noninvasive MRI assessment of pulmonary arterial hypertension.
This computed method, which combines physical (whoever the patient) and biophysical parameters (related to each patient), improves the accuracy of MRI to noninvasively estimate pulmonary arterial pressures.
Photo-released intracellular Ca2+ evokes reversible mechanical responses in supporting cells of the guinea-pig organ of Corti.
The results suggest Ca2+ as a potential intracellular messenger for active mechanical responses in Deiters cells.
A validation of a flow quantification by MR phase mapping software.

Flow phantom experiments reveal that the FQ slightly underestimates actual velocities, and also that velocity uncertainties are related to the encoding velocity value, whatever the measured velocity.
Interim FDG PET scans in lymphoma: SUV measurement error may impair qPET methodology
The above calculated estimation indicates that SUV MEr may impair qPET methodology and it is suggested that qPET variability should be specifically investigated in a series of lymphoma patients.
