Systematics of the butterfly genus Cissia Doubleday, 1848 (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae : Satyrinae) using an integrative approach
- Thamara Zacca, M. Casagrande, K. Willmott
It is confirmed that it is possible to distinguish most of the species of Cissia based on both morphological and molecular data, and C. rubricata shows some differences in the male genitalia compared to its sibling species.

- E. Barbosa
- Environmental Science, Biology
- 1 March 2013
In a sandy forest vegetation of Ubatuba (São Paulo State, SE Brazil), an individual of Pareuptychia ocirrhoe (Satyrinae: Satyrini) was observed feeding on extrafloral nectaries (EFNs)––nectary glands not directly related to pollination––of a passion vine at the edge of a trail of the sandy forest.

- BiologyOrganisms Diversity & Evolution
- 9 June 2015
Three new species belonging to the butterflies satyrine subtribe Euptychiina are described based on wing shape, wing pattern, and morphology of male genitalia based on molecular data from the “DNA barcode” obtained and used to validate the three new species.
