The authors report a case of abdominal retention of both testes, where the exact diagnosis was made by laparoscopy. They suggest the usefulness of laparoscopy also in urology.
Experience with laparoscopy in 1,720 cases performed for surgical diseases with elective or emergency indications is reported. It is hoped that laparoscopy, a simple and harmless technic of great diagnostic value, will be employed more frequently in routine and emergency surgery.
Colonic volvulus is a common condition that affects the sigmoid and rarely involves the more proximal colon. The cecal volvulus is a well-recognized entity, about 270 cases have been reported in the medical literature to our knowledge. The results of 103 laparoscopic cholangiographies performed in patients with cholestasis are reported and the technique used is described. Minimal or no secondary effects were noted.
