Daptomycin is a lipopeptide antibiotic with potent in vitro activity against gram-positive cocci, including Staphylococcus aureus. This study evaluated the in vitro and in vivo efficacies of daptomycin against two clinical isolates: methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) 277 (vancomycin MIC, 2 microg/ml) and glycopeptide-intermediate S. aureus (GISA) ATCC(More)
The main aim of this paper is to demonstrate the potentiality of sub-wavelength resonators, namely, split-ring resonators, complementary split-ring resonators, and related structures to the suppression of undesired spurious bands in microwave filters, a key aspect to improve their rejection bandwidths. The main relevant characteristics of the cited(More)
Channel Hot Carrier (CHC) degradation on uniaxially strained pMOS and nMOS samples with different S/D materials has been analyzed. The results show that the CHC damage is larger in the strained samples in comparison with the unstrained devices, and increases with the temperature.
The life history traits of blow fly Cochliomyia macellaria (Fabricius, 1775) was studied under semi-controlled laboratory conditions at 29.14°C temperature, 72.53% relative humidity, and 12-h photoperiod. The raw data were analyzed based on the age-stage, two-sex life table, considering the development rates among individuals of both sexes. Cochliomyia(More)
