A novel gram-negative, orange-pigmented, rod-shaped, strictly aerobic, gliding, oxidase- and catalase-positive bacterial strain, A73(T), was isolated from seawater collected off Jeju, South Korea and represents a novel species of the genus Winogradskyella.
