Esterase isozymes were studied in bone extracts from various species and in bone from newborn rabbits. Bone was frozen in liquid nitrogen and crushed. The isozymes were extracted with isotonic saline and separated by electrophoresis on starch gel. The isozyme pattern differed between species and between various developmental stages in the same species.(More)
