Exploring the possibility of temporally resolving dynamics in an ideal two-photon process (TPP) indicates that the existence of one-photon physical intermediate states is not a prerequisite for TPP. This study also sheds light on the phase dependence of TPP.
We report the behavior of nonlinear refraction property of solvent using femtosecond high repetition rate laser pulses with close aperture z scan technique. Self defocusing due to HRR pulses highly depend on viscosity and density of the systems.
