Aflatoxins are well recognized as a cause of liver cancer, but they have additional important toxic effects. In farm and laboratory animals, chronic exposure to aflatoxins compromises immunity and interferes with protein metabolism and multiple micronutrients that are critical to health. These effects have not been widely studied in humans, but the(More)

Image segmentation is the process of assigning a label to every pixel in an image such that pixels with the same label share certain visual characteristics. The objective of segmentation is to change the image into meaningful form that(More)
A content based image retrieval system (CBIR) is proposed to assist the dermatologist for diagnosis of skin diseases. F irst, after collecting the various skin disease images and their text information (disease name, symptoms and cure etc), a test database (for query image) and a train database of 460 images approximately (for image matching) are prepared.(More)
Image Compression plays a very important role in image processing especially when we are to send the image on the internet. The threat to the information on the internet increases and image is no exception. Generally the image is sent on the internet as the compressed image to optimally use the bandwidth of the network. But as we are on the network, at any(More)

A wide range of digital data is created, transmitted, copied and distributed from one place to another through internet. So it is important to provide security and check for authorization of digital data. With images widely available on internet, it may sometimes desirable to(More)
A Mobile Ad hoc Network is a type of ad hoc network. It can change its location configuration dynamically. It is an infrastructure-less network. Due to the complex nature of MANETS, their development processes face several challenges. One of such key challenge is routing. Several routing protocols have already been proposed for MANETs. This paper examines(More)
Bronchoesophageal fistula in an adult is rarely encountered in clinical practice. Most commonly, they have malignant origin. We report a case of bronchoesophageal fistula secondary to trauma caused by upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. The patient presented with recurrent chest infections and dysphagia since he underwent endoscopic procedure for obstructed(More)
Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus is associated with a variety of infections which pose management difficulties. Herein, we report a case of diabetic patient who developed combined pulmonary tuberculosis and mucormycosis. The case illustrates management of this rare co-infection which despite being potentially fatal was treated successfully.
