DEBATES ON dignity, inequalities and stigma in care services are not new to the NHS, and especially when they concern services for older people.
In light of Lord Darzi's NHS Next Stage Review final report, which emphasises the need for clinical services to be effective and good quality, this article describes how a directorate in a mental health trust used a performance management framework to focus more closely on the quality of services.
