The cladistic analysis applied to test the monophyly of the genus Isoctenus resulted in two equally parsimonious trees of 89 steps, and the strict consensus was used to discuss the relationships of IsoCTenus and related Cteninae genera.
Kiekie, a new Neotropical spider genus of Ctenidae (Cteninae, Araneae).
The genus and species of Kiekie are proposed, showing that at least two species belong to a well-supported clade, sister group of Africactenus Hyatt, 1954, and the phylogenetic relationship of the group and the evolution of key morphological characters.

Results of the parsimony and Bayesian phylogenetic analyses indicate the monophyly of Spinoctenus, closely related to Phoneutria Perty, 1883 and Ctenus Walckenaer, 1805, and this genus can be distinguished from the remaining Ctenidae by three unambiguous synapomorphies.

The number of known species of ctenids in Colombia is increased from 16 to 25 and these data will be useful for future studies in taxonomy, systematics and biogeography of this family.
