Neougonin A reduced the production of inflammatory mediators and inflammation-related proteins induced by LPS in murine macrophage RAW 264.7 cells and was suggested to be due to the downregulation of TNFα,IL-1β, IL-6, NO, and PGE2 via the suppression of NF-kB signal transduction pathway.

Fifteen diterpenoids, including three undescribed ones with ent‐atisane skeleton, eupnerias G–I (1–3), were obtained from Euphorbia neriifolia through comprehensive spectroscopic analysis, and compound 15 exhibited significant cytotoxicity on HepG2 cell lines (IC50=0.01 μm), while it did not show any cytot toxicity against HepG 2/Adr cell lines.
