Neougonin A Inhibits Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Inflammatory Responses via Downregulation of the NF-kB Signaling Pathway in RAW 264.7 Macrophages
Neougonin A reduced the production of inflammatory mediators and inflammation-related proteins induced by LPS in murine macrophage RAW 264.7 cells and was suggested to be due to the downregulation of TNFα,IL-1β, IL-6, NO, and PGE2 via the suppression of NF-kB signal transduction pathway.

Fifteen diterpenoids, including three undescribed ones with ent‐atisane skeleton, eupnerias G–I (1–3), were obtained from Euphorbia neriifolia through comprehensive spectroscopic analysis, and compound 15 exhibited significant cytotoxicity on HepG2 cell lines (IC50=0.01 μm), while it did not show any cytot toxicity against HepG 2/Adr cell lines.

The findings indicated that the effects of HCECA and MCECA on inhibiting the cells damage induced by H2O2 in PC12 are better than other extracts from the radix of C. aromatica, and the active constituents with neuroprotective effects consisting in those two active extracts are diarylheptanoids and sesquiterpenoids.
