Resolving phylogenetic relationships of Delphacini and Tropidocephalini (Hemiptera: Delphacidae: Delphacinae) as inferred from four genetic loci
- Yixin Huang, L. Zheng, C. Bartlett, D. Qin
- BiologyScientific Reports
- 12 June 2017
The topologies support the monophyly of Delphacinae and its basal split into three tribes, and provisionally support subdividing Delphicini into three clades, including a more broadly defined Numatina.
First mitogenome for the tribe Saccharosydnini (Hemiptera: Delphacidae: Delphacinae) and the phylogeny of three predominant rice planthoppers
- Yixin Huang, D. Qin
- BiologyEuropean Journal of Entomology
- 30 May 2018
The mitochondrial genome of Saccharosydne procerus (Matsumura) is the first sequenced in the tribe SaccharOSydnini and the existence of purifying selection was indicated by the rate of nonsynonymous and synonymous substitutions.
Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Natural Lycorma delicatula (White) (Hemiptera: Fulgoridea) Populations in China as Revealed by Microsatellite and Mitochondrial Markers
- Li Zhang, Wenhui Zhao, Fuping Wang, D. Qin
- BiologyInsects
- 23 September 2019
Results show a low to high level of genetic differentiation among populations and significant genetic differentiation between both two clusters and four clusters, and suggest that there is potential gene flow between geographical populations.

Clarification of the Identity of the Tea Green Leafhopper Based on Morphological Comparison between Chinese and Japanese Specimens
- D. Qin, Li Zhang, Q. Xiao, C. Dietrich, M. Matsumura
- BiologyPLoS ONE
- 30 September 2015
Tea green leafhopper is one of the most dominant pests in major tea production regions of East Asia. This species has been variously identified as Empoasca vitis (Goëthe), Jacobiasca formosana…
Review of Chinese species of the leafhopper genus Amrasca Ghauri (Hemiptera, Cicadellidae, Typhlocybinae), with description of a new species, species checklist and notes on the identity of the Indian…
- Y. Xu, Yuru Wang, C. Dietrich, M. Fletcher, D. Qin
- BiologyZootaxa
- 23 November 2017
The male holotype specimen of Chlorita bimaculata Matsumura is here designated as the neotype of Empoasca biguttula Ishida to fix the identity of this economically important species and Sundapteryx Dworakowska is reinstated from synonymy as a subgenus of Amrasca.
Sequencing and analysis of the complete mitochondrial genome of Changeondelphax velitchkovskyi (Hemiptera: Fulgoroidea)
- Yixin Huang, D. Qin
- BiologyMitochondrial DNA Part B: Resources
- 2 January 2018
The complete mitogenome sequence of C. velitchkovskyi was observed to be a circular molecule 16,449 bp long and consists of 13 protein-coding genes (PCG), two ribosomal RNA (r RNA) genes and 22 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes (GenBank accession no. MG049916).
Gene Expression Profiles of Heat Shock Proteins 70 and 90 From Empoasca onukii (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) in Response to Temperature Stress
- Li-Rui Qiao, Jun X. Wu, Guangfang Li
- BiologyJournal of Insect Science
- 17 April 2015
The expression profiles indicated that Eohsp90 and EohSp70 may play important roles in E. onukii adult responses to ecologically relevant environmental temperature threat.
Two new leafhopper genera of the Alebroides genus group (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Typhlocybinae) from China, with a key to genera of the group
- YE Xu, Sihan Lu, Yuru Wang, C. Dietrich, D. Qin
- Biology
- 2017
Two new microleafhopper genera in the Alebroides genus group, Nulliata Lu, Xu & Qin, gen. nov., and Inflatopina Lu, Dietrich & Qin , are described from southwest China, and five known species in theAlebroides sohii species group are transferred to InflatOPina as new combinations.
