The phylogeny and evolutionary timescale of stoneflies (Insecta: Plecoptera) inferred from mitochondrial genomes.
Zwicknia gen. n., a new genus for the Capnia bifrons species group, with descriptions of three new species based on morphology, drumming signals and molecular genetics, and a synopsis of the West…
Comparative morphological studies and newly discovered characters of the genitalia has allowed for the first time a synopsis of the adults of the West Palaearctic and Nearctic genera of Capniidae.

- D. Murányi
- 5 October 2011
Ten taxa of Balkan Isoperla Banks, 1906 are described or redescribed on the basis of SEM studies of the penis, traditional morphological features, and egg structure as well as new for the fauna of Albania and Greece.
A new species of Cincticostella (Ephemeroptera, Ephemerellidae) from China
Cincticostella tornata, a new species of Ephemerellidae, is described from China. It belongs to the insolta-species group and is closely related to C. femorata. It is hitherto only known from its…
The first species of the genus Megabunus Meade, 1855 (Opiliones: Phalangiidae) in the Balkan region
- D. Murányi
The new species is compared with all other members of the genus Megabunus, and some additional closely related Balkanian Phalangiinae taxa.
Comparison of two complete mitochondrial genomes from Perlodidae (Plecoptera: Perloidea) and the family-level phylogenetic implications of Perloidea.
A new genus and species of winter stoneflies (Plecoptera: Capniidae) from Southwest China, with a commented checklist of the family in the Oriental Realm.
A new genus and species of the family Capniidae (Plecoptera), Sinocapnia kuankuoshui gen. n., sp. n. is described from the adult male and a female collected in Guizhou Province of southwest China.…
Contribution to the taxonomy and biology of two Balkan endemic Isoperla Banks, 1906 (Plecoptera: Perlodidae) species
The hitherto unknown larva of Isoperla pesici Muranyi, 2011 can be distinguished from related species on the basis of more laterally positioned abdominal stripes, and the long hairs on the apical half of the cerci, and this species has a wide distribution in the Central Balkans, and is added six new localities, including the first record from Albania.
New and little–known stoneflies (Plecoptera) from Albania and the neighbouring countries
- D. Murányi
- 26 July 2007
Five new taxa (Leuctra malcor sp. n. from Albania, Leuctra mortoni feheri ssp. n.) are described, and three new species groups within the genus Nemoura are erected (N. peristeri groups), which is new for the Albanian fauna and S. neglecta (Rostock) isnew for the Greek fauna.
