Dynamic Source Routing in Ad Hoc Wireless Networks
- David B. Johnson, D. Maltz
- Computer Science, BusinessMobidata Workshops
- 1994
This paper presents a protocol for routing in ad hoc networks that uses dynamic source routing that adapts quickly to routing changes when host movement is frequent, yet requires little or no overhead during periods in which hosts move less frequently.
Data center TCP (DCTCP)
- M. Alizadeh, A. Greenberg, M. Sridharan
- Computer ScienceConference on Applications, Technologies…
- 16 August 2010
DCTCP enables the applications to handle 10X the current background traffic, without impacting foreground traffic, thus largely eliminating incast problems, and delivers the same or better throughput than TCP, while using 90% less buffer space.
VL2: a scalable and flexible data center network
- A. Greenberg, James R. Hamilton, S. Sengupta
- Computer ScienceConference on Applications, Technologies…
- 16 August 2009
VL2 is a practical network architecture that scales to support huge data centers with uniform high capacity between servers, performance isolation between services, and Ethernet layer-2 semantics, and is built on a working prototype.

- 25 October 1998
The results of a derailed packet-levelsimulationcomparing fourmulti-hopwirelessad hoc networkroutingprotocols, which cover a range of designchoices: DSDV,TORA, DSR and AODV are presented.
DSR: the dynamic source routing protocol for multihop wireless ad hoc networks
- David B. Johnson, D. Maltz, J. Broch
- Computer Science
- 1 March 2001
The Dynamic Source Routing protocol (DSR) is a simple and efficient routing protocol designed specifically for use in multi-hop wireless ad hoc networks of mobile nodes, and a summary of some of the simulation and testbed implementation results for the protocol is provided.

- David B. Johnson, Yih-Chun Hu, D. Maltz
- Computer ScienceRequest for Comments
- 1 February 2007
The Dynamic Source Routing protocol is a simple and efficient routing protocol designed specifically for use in multi-hop wireless ad hoc networks of mobile nodes, designed to work well even with very high rates of mobility.

- J. Konstan, Bradley N. Miller, D. Maltz, Jonathan L. Herlocker, Lee R. Gordon, J. Riedl
- Computer ScienceCACM
- 1 March 1997
The combination of high volume and personal taste made Usenet news a promising candidate for collaborative filtering and the potential predictive utility for Usenets news was very high.
The cost of a cloud: research problems in data center networks
- A. Greenberg, James R. Hamilton, D. Maltz, Parveen Patel
- Computer ScienceCCRV
- 31 December 2008
This work examines the costs of cloud service data centers today and proposes (1) joint optimization of network and data center resources, and (2) new systems and mechanisms for geo-distributing state.
