After high-risk or moderate-risk exposure to Covid-19, hydroxychloroquine did not prevent illness compatible with Covid -19 or confirmed infection when used as postexposure prophylaxis within 4 days after exposure.

BACKGROUND Cryptococcal meningitis (CM) remains a common AIDS-defining illness in Africa and Asia. Subclinical cryptococcal antigenemia is frequently unmasked with antiretroviral therapy (ART). We…
Cryptococcal immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome in HIV-1-infected individuals: proposed clinical case definitions.
Timing of antiretroviral therapy after diagnosis of cryptococcal meningitis.
Deferring ART for 5 weeks after the diagnosis of cryptococcal meningitis was associated with significantly improved survival, as compared with initiating ART at 1 to 2 weeks, especially among patients with a paucity of white cells in cerebrospinal fluid.
Clinical Features and Serum Biomarkers in HIV Immune Reconstitution Inflammatory Syndrome after Cryptococcal Meningitis: A Prospective Cohort Study
Clinical features in a prospective cohort with AIDS and recent cryptococcal meningitis after initiation of antiretroviral therapy are investigated to identify biomarkers for prediction and diagnosis of CM-IRIS (cryptococcal meninigitis-related immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome).
Outcomes of cryptococcal meningitis in Uganda before and after the availability of highly active antiretroviral therapy.
Significant CM-associated mortality persists, despite the administration of amphotericin B and HIV therapy, because of the high mortality rate before receipt of HAART and because of immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome-related complications after HAART initiation.

The benefits of targeted CRAG screening, developments in CRAG diagnostics, and evidence regarding treatment options that can be implemented into routine HIV care in areas of high cryptococcal burden are reviewed.
Hydroxychloroquine in Nonhospitalized Adults With Early COVID-19
This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial evaluated effects of oral hydroxychloroquine on symptoms and disease severity in adult outpatients with early COVID-19.

Patients who subsequently develop CM-related IRIS exhibit less initial CSF inflammation at the time of CM diagnosis, compared with those who do not develop IRIS, and the inflammatory CSF cytokine profiles observed at time of IRIS can distinguish IRIS from CM relapse.
