The genus Paracilicaea Stebbing 1910 from the Indo-Pacific region is revised and redefined and four species are excluded and are here regarded as “incertae sedis”: P. fimbriata Kussakin et al. 1990, P. dakini (Tattersall 1922), P. hamata (Baker 1908) and P. septemdentata (baker 1910).

From the examination of all the preserved material, a new list of the Duchassaing & Michelotti collection, comprising 236 species is compiled, comprising 109 specimens of the 208 new species described by the Authors are once again known and available to specialists in the field.
