Phylogenetic analyses revealed that L. lizae is highly differentiated from other species of Lasiotocus from which molecular data were obtained, including L. arrhichostoma Searle, Cutmore et Cribb, 2014 and L. engeli and V. seheli in Vietnam, and a new species of the genus Paucivitellosus is identified.

The taxonomic status of the genus Parasaccocoelium is supported and its inclusion within the sub-family Waretrematinae is supported, and Pseudohapladena lizae Liu et Yang, 2002 is considered to be a junior synonym of Parasaccocelium mugili Zhukov, 1971.

The study of the morphology of S. spasskii showed that the worms have diffuse eye spots, V-shaped testis, long caeca that reach the level of the middle of the posterior third of the body, as well as a uterus with unembryonated eggs with an operculum on one pole and a knob on the other pole.

Molecular data confirmed the validity of these species and showed that specimens identified as H. pachysomus are closely related to specimens found in Spain, and that Provitellotrema crenimugilis Pan, 1984 was discovered in Liza haematocheila, which is close related to Haplosplanchnus purii.
