This paper reviews prior studies concerning educational robots and analyzes the characteristics of robots and instructional media, and reports on the design and testing of five instruction scenarios for teaching second language.
Disparities in habitat use and migratory behavior between tropical eel Anguilla marmorata and temperate eel A. japonica in four Taiwanese rivers
A. marmorata is more easily threatened by both fishing pressure and continuous habitat degradation than A. japonica, and this disparity in migratory behaviors and habitat use between species may reflect interspecific competition and adaptive radiation.
Synchronous changes of morphology and gonadal development of silvering Japanese eel Anguilla japonica
Misidentification of the migratory history of anguillid eels by Sr/Ca ratios of vaterite otoliths
Most fish otoliths are composed of aragonite, but occasionally they form a mosaic with its polymorph, vaterite. We found an unusual mosaic structure of extremely low strontium to calcium (Sr/Ca)…
Evaluation of Multi-Scale Climate Effects on Annual Recruitment Levels of the Japanese Eel, Anguilla japonica, to Taiwan
The results imply that the Japanese eel recruitment may be influenced by multi-timescale climate variability, and call for investigation of extra-tropical ocean dynamics that affect survival of eels during transport, in addition to the existing efforts to study the equatorial system.
Spatial and temporal variations of the estuarine larval fish community on the west coast of Taiwan
Monsoon-driven coastal currents may influence seasonal dispersal and community structure of the estuarine larval fishes on the western coast of Taiwan.
Development of a Solid Dispersion System for Improving the Oral Bioavailability of Resveratrol in Rats

The results indicated that the dripping pill (DP) oral delivery system improves the dissolution and oral BA of RES, and could be an effective and practical technique for food and pharmaceutical applications.
Acute Garcinia mangostana (mangosteen) supplementation does not alleviate physical fatigue during exercise: a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover trial

It was concluded that acute mangosteen supplementation had no impact on alleviating physical fatigue during exercise.
Relationship between Sr:Ca Ratios in Otoliths of Grey Mullet Mugil cephalus and Ambient Salinity: Validation, Mechanisms, and Applications
The results indicate that Sr:Ca ratios in otoliths can be used to reconstruct an environmental history of the mullet by differentiating when the fish migrated between fresh water and seawater; however Sr: Ca ratios in the Otoliths were affected by salinity and the fish growth rate in an interactive manner.
The Migratory Environmental History of Freshwater Resident Flathead Mullet Mugil cephalus L. in the Tanshui River, Northern Taiwan

This study demonstrates that M. cephalus occupied diverse environments and migrated among marine, brackish, and freshwater habitats after the juvenile stage.
