Purpose – This paper aims to study the adoption of mobile technology in business and its determinants. A diagnostic tool for proper adoption of mobile technology is developed. Design/methodology/approach – Grounded on the fit-viability framework, the paper uses a multi-case study via the fit and viability dimensions to examine the success or failure of(More)
The design of ultra-lightweight authentication protocols is imperative to the pervasive deployment of low-cost RFIDs. This paper examines the security of two well known ultra-lightweight authentication protocols (LMAP and M2AP) and the improved scheme. We demonstrate our efficient attacks on the protocols, and highlight the key weaknesses of the designs.
As low-cost RFIDs with limited resources will dominate most of the RFID market, it is imperative to design lightweight RFID authentication protocols for these low-cost RFIDs. However, most of existing RFID authentication protocols either suffer from some security weaknesses or require costly operations that are not available on low-cost tags. In this paper,(More)
Forty Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale (ORT) strains were isolated from 28 chickens and 12 pigeons for the first time in Taiwan. All isolates reacted positively in the p-nitrophenyl-beta-D-galactopyranoside (PNPG) and oxidase tests, showing an API 20NE identification system biocode 0-0-2-0-0-0-4. All the pigeon isolates and 85.7% (24 of 28) of the chicken(More)
It is unknown whether there has been any change in the causes of death for acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) in the era of aggressive reperfusion. We analyzed the direct causes of in-hospital death in patients with STEMI treated with primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in a tertiary referral center over the past 10(More)
This brief presents the theoretical and simulation results of the effects of flying-adder (FA) clocks on digital-to-analog converters (DACs). A closed-form expression for the frequency spectrum of the DAC output is derived. Analyses show that there exists a lower bound of the clock frequency above which the FA clock does not introduce any additional(More)
Pulmonary aspergilloma and pulmonary actinomycosis are rare pulmonary infectious diseases. Clinical manifestations of pulmonary aspergilloma and pulmonary actinomycosis include chronic cough, fever, chest pain, haemoptysis and other pathologies, but some patients may be asymptomatic. We report a case of a healthy 33-year-old woman without any underlying(More)
BACKGROUND Telehealth care is a global trend affecting clinical practice around the world. To mitigate the workload of health professionals and provide ubiquitous health care, a comprehensive surveillance system with value-added services based on information technologies must be established. OBJECTIVE We conducted this study to describe our proposed(More)
