Data are congruent with the general observation that there is substantial overlap in the discriminative stimulus effects of CB1R ligands across different chemical classes, but the quantitative differences in the interactions between the two aminoalkylindoles and rimonabant in the two discrimination groups suggest subtle variations in the ligand–receptor activation(s).

The first two high affinity covalent anandamide probes for the CB1 receptor are designed and synthesized by introducing either an electrophilic isothiocyanato or a photoactivatable azido group at the terminal carbon of the arachidonic acid moiety.

Unlike mAEA, the surmountable antagonism between rimonabant and AM1346 showed that the structural features of AEA can be modified to produce novel ligands that reduce the dissociation between the discriminative stimulus and rate decreasing effects of CB1R agonists derived from an AEA template.

SR-141716 induces a discriminative stimulus complex in DTA that shows potential for further examination of cannabinoid receptor antagonism.

Rimonabant induces a discriminative stimulus in DTA that continues to show potential for further examination of cannabinoid receptor antagonism and resulted in strong unconditioned effects.

The data indicate that the anandamide analog AM1346 may be more behaviorally similar to cannabinoids like Δ9-THC than to other an andamide-based molecules such as methanandamide, i.e. AM356.

This data indicates that the polymethine-2-stearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine complex is a good ligand for high-performance liquid chromatographyatography of Na6(CO3)(SO4)2, where Na2SO4 is the major mineral component of Na2CO3 and PSPC is the secondary substance.
