- S. Lv, Yi Zhang, J. Utzinger
- BiologyParasitology Research
- 27 January 2009
In combination, the distribution of refractive granules, distinct head features, variations in sheaths, and behavioral characteristics can be utilized for differentiation of larval stages, and for distinguishing A. cantonensis larvae from those of other free-living nematodes.

- Chao-wei Zhang, S. Xiao, J. Utzinger, J. Chollet, J. Keiser, M. Tanner
- Medicine, BiologyParasitology Research
- 17 February 2009
The dynamics of histopathological changes in adult S. japonicum were examined to provide further evidence of in vivo activity of mefloquine against adult schistosomes.

- Chao-wei Zhang, Xiao-jun Xu, Hai-qi Zhang, C. Mu, Zhong-yang He, Chun-Lin Wang
- BiologyMitochondrial DNA
- 9 June 2015
A PCR-RFLP method to confirm the identification of four Pelodiscus sinensis strains was developed and evaluated and showed that all the 140 samples tested can be correctly identified based on the combination of the three digested fragments pattern.
Further observation on histopathological alterations of adult Schistosoma japonicum harbored in mice following treatment with mefloquine at a smaller single dose
- S. Xiao, Chao-wei Zhang
- BiologyParasitology Research
- 8 June 2010
The results indicate that smaller dose of mefloquine (200 mg/kg) still shows strong histopathological response to kill female schistosomes, but its lethal effect against male worms is weakened.
Description of a new Cladolasma (Opiliones: Nemastomatidae: Ortholasmatinae) species from China.
- Chao-wei Zhang, Feng Zhang
- BiologyZootaxa
- 23 July 2013
The harvestmen genus Cladolasma Suzuki, 1963, previously known only from Japan and Thailand, is here reported from China for the first time, and represents the first record of Nemastomatidae and Ortholasmatinae for China.
Histopathological changes of juvenile Schistosoma japonicum harbored in mice treated orally with mefloquine at a smaller single dose
- Chao-wei Zhang, S. Xiao
- BiologyParasitology Research
- 1 June 2012
The results indicate that a smaller single mefloquine dose 200 mg/kg exhibits a potential and fast killing effect against S. japonicum juvenile and induces severe histopathological lesions.
Notes on Bonea Roewer, 1914 and Lomanius Roewer, 1923 (Opiliones: Laniatores: Podoctidae), with the description of three new species from China.
- Chao-wei Zhang, A. Kury, Feng Zhang
- BiologyZootaxa
- 20 March 2013
Bonea is transferred from the Ibaloniinae to Podoctinae and Paralomanius Goodnight & Goodnight, 1948 is revalidated from the synonymy of Lomaniaus, containing two species from Micronesia and Philippines.

- Feng Zhang, Likun Zhao, Chao-wei Zhang
- BiologyZooKeys
- 4 April 2018
Differences in male genital structures between the Chinese species are small, while there are more differences with the Japanese species.

- Cong-shan Liu, Hao-bing Zhang, Xiu-Min Han
- Medicine, BiologyParasites & Vectors
- 10 December 2014
It is shown that MBZ-OS is a promising new formulation of MBZ for treatment of hydatid diseases without showing significantly liver toxicity, and the injury of the liver was not significantly altered by taking MBz-OS compared to the untreated control.
