Comparative study of cytotoxicity, oxidative stress and genotoxicity induced by four typical nanomaterials: the role of particle size, shape and composition
The comparative analysis demonstrated that particle composition probably played a primary role in the cytotoxic effects of different nanoparticles, however, the potential genotoxicity might be mostly attributed to particle shape. Expand
Wnt5a regulates directional cell migration and cell proliferation via Ror2-mediated noncanonical pathway in mammalian palate development
This work shows that Wnt5a and its receptor Ror2 are expressed in a graded manner along the AP axis of the palate, and reveals distinct regulatory roles for Wnt 5a in gene expression and cell proliferation and an essential role in the regulation of directional cell migration within the developing palate. Neuroprotection by baicalein in ischemic brain injury involves PTEN/AKT pathway
J. Neurochem. (2010) 112, 1500–1512.
AMPK&agr;2 Deletion Causes Aberrant Expression and Activation of NAD(P)H Oxidase and Consequent Endothelial Dysfunction In Vivo: Role of 26S Proteasomes
It is concluded that AMPK&agr;2 functions as a physiological suppressor of NAD(P)H oxidase and ROS production in endothelial cells and maintains the nonatherogenic and noninflammatory phenotype of endothelium cells. Expand
Differential phosphorylation of DNA-PKcs regulates the interplay between end-processing and end-ligation during nonhomologous end-joining.
These findings identify DNA-PKcs as the molecular switch that coordinates end-processing and end-ligation at the DNA ends through differential phosphorylations. Expand
Curcumin Alleviates Diabetic Cardiomyopathy in Experimental Diabetic Rats
It is suggested that curcumin may have great therapeutic potential in the treatment of DCM, and perhaps other cardiovascular disorders, by attenuating fibrosis, oxidative stress, inflammation and cell death. Expand
Systematic review of hepatocellular adenoma in China and other regions
The clinical presentation of HCA in China differed from other parts of the world regarding male predominance and a higher incidence of coexistent HCC in China might be the result of the birth control policy in China, limited oral contraceptive use, and the higher frequency of hepatitis B virus infection. Epithelial Wnt/β-catenin signaling regulates palatal shelf fusion through regulation of Tgfβ3 expression.
An essential role for Wnt/β-catenin signaling in the epithelial component at the step of palate fusion during palate development is demonstrated by controlling the expression of Tgfβ3 in the MEE. Expand
Epidemiologic Study of the Predisposing Factors in Erythema toxicum neonatorum
The findings suggest that environmental factors play an important role in the onset of ETN and are significantly correlated with the total length of labor. Expand
Preoperative donor liver biopsy for adult living donor liver transplantation: Risks and benefits
It is believed that preoperative LB in the donor selection for adult LDLT is necessary, once the initial donor screening and noninvasive evaluation is complete, because other screening modalities can be unreliable. Expand
