Notes, outline and divergence times of Basidiomycota
Divergence times as additional criterion in ranking provide additional evidence to resolve taxonomic problems in the Basidiomycota taxonomic system, and also provide a better understanding of their phylogeny and evolution.

A new poroid wood-inhabiting basidiomycete, Perenniporia nanlingensis, collected in Guangdong Province, southern China, is described and illustrated on the basis of three collections. Both the…
New species and phylogeny of Perenniporia based on morphological and molecular characters
- Changlin Zhao, B. Cui, Yu-Cheng Dai
- BiologyFungal diversity
- 2012
Three new resupinate, poroid, wood-inhabiting fungi, Perenniporia aridula, P. bannaensis and P. substraminea, are introduced on the basis of morphological and molecular characters and formed monophyletic lineages with strong support in P perennialiporia s.s. used in this study.
Morphological and Molecular Identification of Two New Species of Hyphodontia (Schizoporaceae, Hymenochaetales) from Southern China
- Changlin Zhao, B. Cui, Yu-Cheng Dai
- Biology
- 16 April 2014
Both morphological characters and phylogenetic analysis inferred from ITS sequences confirmed the placement of the two new species in Hyphodontia s.l. and showed its relationships with similar species in the genus.
Flammeopellis bambusicola gen. et. sp. nov. (Polyporales, Basidiomycota) evidenced by morphological characters and phylogenetic analysis
- Changlin Zhao, Xin-Sheng He, Kunyuan Wanghe, B. Cui, Yu-Cheng Dai
- BiologyMycological progress
- 26 January 2014
The morphological and molecular evidence confirmed the placement of the new genus in the core polyporoid clade and established its relationships with similar genera.
Phylogeny and taxonomy of the genus Abundisporus (Polyporales, Basidiomycota)
- Changlin Zhao, Hong Chen, Jie Song, B. Cui
- BiologyMycological progress
- 15 May 2015
Seven taxa have been recognized in the genus Abundisporus with both morphological and molecular evidence and a new species is described, A. mollissimus, which is characterized by its soft, perennial, effused-reflexed to pileate basidiocarp.
A preliminary report on decay and canker of Acacia richii caused by Inonotus rickii in China.
- B. Cui, Changlin Zhao, J. Vlasák, Yu-Cheng Dai
- Biology
- 1 February 2014
A phylogenetic analysis showed that the fungus from Panzhihua is closely related to isolates from Europe, South America, Mianyang and Hainan of China, and it was concluded that the isolates of the species previously reported from the USA do not belong to I. rickii.

- Xiangfu Liu, Shan Shen, Changlin Zhao
- BiologyPhytotaxa
- 24 May 2019
The phylogenetic analyses showed that E. xinpingensis belonged to the Auriculariaceae and was closely related to E. tenuicula, a new wood-inhabiting fungal species described based on a combination of morphological features and molecular evidence.
