This work presents the measurements of single event transients and functional interrupts on two designs of readout integrated circuit under a heavy ions beam at cryogenic temperatures. The temperature dependence of the SEFI occurrence is limited.
Proton irradiations were performed on three types of optocouplers at three energies 60 MeV, 100 MeV and 200 MeV, followed by a TID irradiation up to 75 kRAD. GEANT4 allowed the calculation of the fluences needed to induce the same NIEL. Our solar system is bombarded by galactic cosmic rays (GCR). These consist of electrons and nearly all the elements of the periodic table. The energy of the ions can be as high as 10 eV, but they have their maximum fluence around 1 GeV/n .
