For many cancer patients the experience of treatment, although difficult and stressful, is in some way reassuring--something is actively being done to 'cure' their illness. However, what happens once they leave hospital is often a cause for concern and is addressed by a new project.
This survey assessed the prevalence and severity of difficult behaviour displayed by residents in a residential hospital for the mentally handicapped as reported by the direct-care staff.
