Vertebral fracture assessment using a semiquantitative technique
- H. Genant, Chun-Ying Wu, C. V. van Kuijk, M. Nevitt
- MedicineJournal of Bone and Mineral Research
- 1 September 1993
The semiquantitative approach can be applied reliably in vertebral fracture assessment when performed using well‐defined criteria, and this approach was compared with a quantitative morpho‐metric approach.
Universal standardization for dual X‐ray absorptiometry: Patient and phantom cross‐calibration results
- H. Genant, S. Grampp, C. V. van Kuijk
- MedicineJournal of Bone and Mineral Research
- 1 October 1994
The standardization approach as performed in this study provided compatibility of DXA results obtained on different scanners, and the correlations of the patients' spinal BMD values were excellent for each of the three scanner pairs.
Comparison of Coronary CT Angiography, SPECT, PET, and Hybrid Imaging for Diagnosis of Ischemic Heart Disease Determined by Fractional Flow Reserve
- I. Danad, P. Raijmakers, P. Knaapen
- MedicineJAMA cardiology
- 1 October 2017
This controlled clinical head-to-head comparative study revealed PET to exhibit the highest accuracy for diagnosis of myocardial ischemia and a combined anatomical and functional assessment does not add incremental diagnostic value but guides clinical decision-making in an unsalutary fashion.
Irreversible electroporation for nonthermal tumor ablation in the clinical setting: a systematic review of safety and efficacy.
- H. Scheffer, K. Nielsen, M. Meijerink
- MedicineJournal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology
- 1 July 2014
Quantification of bone involvement in Gaucher disease: MR imaging bone marrow burden score as an alternative to Dixon quantitative chemical shift MR imaging--initial experience.
- M. Maas, C. V. van Kuijk, G. D. den Heeten
- MedicineRadiology
- 1 November 2003
Although BMB was less sensitive than Dixon QCSI, it showed enough sensitivity to allow detection of bone marrow response to enzyme supplementation therapy, and is a reproducible semiquantitative scoring system that is easy to use.
Ablation of Locally Advanced Pancreatic Cancer with Percutaneous Irreversible Electroporation: Results of the Phase I/II PANFIRE Study.
- H. Scheffer, L. Vroomen, M. Meijerink
- MedicineRadiology
- 1 February 2017
Preliminary survival data are encouraging and support the setup of larger phase II and III clinical trials to assess the efficacy of IRE plus chemotherapy in the neoadjuvant and adjuvant or second-line setting compared with more widely adopted regimens such as chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy.
Deep infiltrating endometriosis of the bowel: MR imaging as a method to predict muscular invasion
- M. Busard, L. V. D. van der Houwen, J. V. van Waesberghe
- MedicineAbdominal Imaging
- 6 August 2011
MR imaging at 1.5 Tesla is useful to predict muscular infiltration of the bowel in endometriosis, whereas it is of limited value in diagnosis of (sub)mucosal infiltration.
Arm raising at exposure-controlled multidetector trauma CT of thoracoabdominal region: higher image quality, lower radiation dose.
- M. Brink, F. de Lange, J. Blickman
- Medicine, PhysicsRadiology
- 1 November 2008
Omitting arm raising results in lower but acceptable image quality and a substantially higher effective radiation dose, Hence, effort should be made to position the arms above the shoulder when scanning trauma patients.
Bone densitometry in children: a critical appraisal
- R. van Rijn, I. van der Sluis, C. V. van Kuijk
- MedicineEuropean Radiology
- 1 April 2003
An overview of the available techniques in bone densitometry is given and the specific problems that can be expected when these techniques are used in children are discussed.
Dynamic contrast-enhanced CT in patients treated with sorafenib and erlotinib for non-small cell lung cancer: a new method of monitoring treatment?
- J. Lind, M. Meijerink, E. Smit
- MedicineEuropean Radiology
- 13 July 2010
Serial DCE-CTs are feasible in patients with NSCLC and demonstrated a significant decrease in tumour BF following sorafenib/erlotinib therapy, and showed a trend towards longer PFS.
