TLDR
This paper provides a review of the subarea of model based methods for human body modeling and tracking using volumetric (voxel) data and discusses the idea of combining Laplacian Eigenspace (LE) based voxel segmentation and Kinematically Constrained Gaussian mixture model (KC-GMM) method to have a more powerful human body pose estimation system.
Inhibition of DNA ejection from bacteriophage by Mg(+2) counterions.
TLDR
By fitting the theory to available experimental data, the strength of DNA-DNA short range attraction energies, mediated by Mg(+2), is found to be -0.004 k(B)T per nucleotide base and this and other fitted parameters agree well with known values from other experiments and computer simulations.
MARINE ALGINATE OLIGOSACCHARIDES – A PROMISING BIOMATERIAL: CURRENT USE AND FUTURE PERSPECTIVES IN FOOD INDUSTRY AND PHARMACEUTICAL APPLICATIONS
Alginate oligosaccharides (AOS) have been known as a natural material with a wide variety of biological activities, which used for a long time. The evidence of using AOS to confer health benefits
Elucidation of the Inhibitory Mechanisms of Nipponoparmelia laevior Lichen Extract against Influenza A (H1N1) Virus through Proteomic Analyses.
TLDR
The antiviral effect of lichen extracts, obtained from South Korea, against IAV in the MDCK cells is investigated and Nipponoparmelia laevior (LC24) exhibited the most potent inhibitory effect against Iav infection.
Synthesis of Silicon Nitride Ceramic Material using Direct Nitridation Process
Silicon nitride has been widely employed as one of the most important engineering ceramics for many practical applications due to their excellent properties such as high temperature resistance, low
