Morphology of the immatures and biology of Chinavia longicorialis (Breddin) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae).
- V. C. Matesco, C. Schwertner, J. Grazia
- BiologyNeotropical Entomology
- 2009
The high mortality observed from second to fifth instar (82.4%) and the lack of reproduction of the second generation indicate that green beans are unsuitable to proper development and reproduction of C. longicorialis by itself.
Review, cladistic analysis and biogeography of Nezara Amyot & Serville (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae).
- A. Ferrari, C. Schwertner, J. Grazia
- Biology
- 13 April 2010
The cladistic analysis showed Nezara as a monophyletic taxon and biogeographical scenarios of the evolution of NeZara were discussed.

- T. Guerra, F. Camarota, F. Castro, C. Schwertner, J. Grazia
- Biology
- 15 April 2011
Tphobiosis between ants and Eurystethus microlobatus (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) at a highland quartzite rocky outcrop in southern Espinhaço Range, southeastern Brazil is described, the first documented case of trophobiotic between true bugs and ants in the New World.
Endemism analysis of Neotropical Pentatomidae (Hemiptera, Heteroptera)
- A. Ferrari, A. Paladini, C. Schwertner, J. Grazia
- Environmental Science
- 1 December 2010
The distribution patterns of 222 species, belonging to 14 Pentatomidae (Hemiptera) genera, predominantly neotropical, were studied with the Analysis of Endemicity (NDM) to identify possible areas of endemism and to correlate them to previously delimited areas.
Burrower Bugs (Cydnidae)
- C. Schwertner, C. Nardi
- Environmental Science, Geography
- 2015
Burrower bugs are typical pentatomoid insects, small to medium in size, recognized by the morphological adaptations for digging. However, some cydnids live aboveground or on vegetation, feeding on…
Comparative morphology of immature stages of four species of Chinavia (Hemiptera, Pentatomidae), with a key to the species of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
- Brenda Bianca Rodrigues Jesse Fürstenau, C. Schwertner, J. Grazia
- BiologyZooKeys
- 30 July 2013
Through a comparative study, identification keys were developed to allow an early identification of the 12 Chinavia species of Rio Grande do Sul, one of the most diverse genera of Pentatomidae.
Diversity of Pentatomoidea (Hemiptera) in riparian forests of southern Brazil: taller forests, more bugs
- M. S. Mendonça, C. Schwertner, J. Grazia
- Biology
- 2009
Embora baseada em um inventario rapido da fauna local, os resultados encontrados adicionam informacoes biologicas importantes sobre a fauna de percevejos-do-mato do bioma Pampa, especialmente aquela associada as matas riparias.
Cladistic analysis and synopsis of Chloropepla Stål (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomidae) with the description of three new species
- Caroline Greve, C. Schwertner, J. Grazia
- Biology
- 2013
A cladistic analysis of the species of Chloropepla was presented and the monophyly of the genus was confirmed, with three monophyletic groups of species identified.

The insect's pronotum width was positively associated with the mating choice suggesting size-assortative mating in E. heros, and reciprocal crosses between strains yielded similar reproductive outputs when compared with pure strain crosses, suggesting similar fitness of hybrid pure strains.
