Vertical ReRAM (VRRAM) has been realized with modification of Vertical NAND (VNAND) process and architecture as a cost-effective and extensible technology for future mass data storage. Dedicated…
Advanced Biomatrix Designs for Regenerative Therapy of Periodontal Tissues
Views on advanced designs of biomatrices are updated—including mimicking of the native extracellular matrix, providing mechanical stimulation, activating cell-driven matrices, and delivering bioactive factors in a controllable manner—which are ultimately useful for the regenerative therapy of periodontal tissues.
Analysis of Ventilation Efficiency by Duct System in Pig House
The experiment was carried out to investigate the optimal air velocity for improving the ventilation efficiency of duct ventilation system used in Korean swine building. The results are followed ; In…
Pervaporative butanol fermentation by Clostridium acetobutylicum B18
Pervaporation experiments using make‐up solutions showed that butanol and acetone fluxes increased linearly with their concentrations in the aqueous phase, and Fickian diffusion coefficients were constants for fixed air flow rates, and increased at higher sweep airflow rates.
A Basic Study on Eddy Current Testing of End-Cap Welds
In nuclear fuel manufacturing process, end-closure welding has long been recognized as requiring very high integrity. In this basic study, ECT(eddy current testing) method for end-closure welding has…
Acetone–butanol–ethanol (ABE) fermentation in an immobilized cell trickle bed reactor
Acetone–butanol–ethanol (ABE) fermentation was successfully carried out in an immobilized cell trickle bed reactor using two serial columns packed with Clostridium acetobutylicum ATCC 824 entrapped on the surface of natural sponge segments.

- 1 June 2005
Mecellulose wasted liquor is feasible to be used as external carbon source for organic loading, nitrogen and phosphorus removal and should be recommended to be lower than 200 mg l−1 to meet with the effluent standard.
Characterization of an immobilized cell, trickle bed reactor during long term butanol (ABE) fermentation
The results indicate that the strategy for long term stable operation with high solvent yield requires a structured packing of biologically stable porous matrix such as polyester sponge, a pH maintenance above 4.3, glucose concentrations up to 60 g/L and nutrient supply only to the inlet of the reactor.
