iNOS is responsible for a significant component of the long term protection afforded the kidney by ischemic preconditionsing, which results in persistent renal interstitial disease, but does not explain the preconditioning seen with shorter periods of ischemia.
Trends in use and misuse of opioids in the Netherlands: a retrospective, multi-source database study.
Anti-nucleosome antibodies complexed to nucleosomal antigens show anti-DNA reactivity and bind to rat glomerular basement membrane in vivo.
It is concluded that anti-nucleosome mAbs, which do not bind DNA, become DNA reactive once complexed to nucleosomal antigens, and these complexed mAbs can bind to the GBM.
Prevention of Kidney Ischemia/Reperfusion-induced Functional Injury, MAPK and MAPK Kinase Activation, and Inflammation by Remote Transient Ureteral Obstruction*

Prior transient UO renders the kidney resistant to ischemia, associated with reduced postischemic activation of JNK, p38 MAP kinases, and their upstream MAPK kinases.
Metamizole (Dipyrone) as an Alternative Agent in Postoperative Analgesia in Patients with Contraindications for Nonsteroidal Anti‐Inflammatory Drugs

It is discussed whether metamizole could be an alternative to classical NSAIDs and opioids in postoperative pain management despite this drawback.

THC was rapidly absorbed and had dose-linear pharmacokinetics with considerable interindividual variation, and Pharmacodynamic effects, including adverse events, were minor.

Using polyclonal and monoclonal antihistone antisera, histones were identified in all patients with DPGN and their presence was associated with a decrease of HS staining, the first demonstration of nucleosomes in glomerular deposits in SLE nephritis.
Efficacy and safety of medical cannabinoids in older subjects: A systematic review
Renal ischemia/reperfusion and ATP depletion/repletion in LLC-PK(1) cells result in phosphorylation of FKHR and FKHRL1.
It is concluded that PI 3-kinase and Akt are activated after renal ischemia/reperfusion and that Akt phosphorylation leads to phosphorylated of FKHR and FKHRL1, which may affect epithelial cell fate in acute renal failure.
