Twenty two varieties of brinjal were evaluated against shoot and fruit borer under field conditions in replicated field trails from 1972 to 1975 and indicated that varieties S4, H4, Pusa Purple Cluster, S6, Punjab-Chamkila (S5) and PUSA Purple Long were comparatively more resistant to borer damage at 5 per cent level of significance.
