Isolation and NMR characterization of fumonisin B2 and a new fumonisin B6 from Aspergillus niger.
Analysis of mass spectrometric and NMR data determined that FB(6) is a positional isomer of FB(1) and iso-FB(1), having hydroxyl functions at C3, C4, and C5.
Inhibition of Virulence Gene Expression in Staphylococcus aureus by Novel Depsipeptides from a Marine Photobacterium
To the authors' knowledge, this is the first report of inhibitors of the agr system by a marine bacterium.
Antibacterial Compounds from Marine Vibrionaceae Isolated on a Global Expedition
The findings show that marine Vibrionaceae are a resource of antibacterial compounds and may have potential for future natural product discovery.
Carbohydrate Structural Determination by NMR Spectroscopy: Modern Methods and Limitations

Accurate prediction of secondary metabolite gene clusters in filamentous fungi
A guilt-by-association–based analysis is applied to predict the extent of the biosynthetic clusters for the 58 synthases active in the authors' set of experimental conditions and a data clustering approach is applied, which identifies cross-chemistry between physically separate gene clusters (superclusters).
Comparative Chemistry of Aspergillus oryzae (RIB40) and A. flavus (NRRL 3357)
This study reports on the first comparison of secondary metabolite production between the full genome sequenced strains of A. oryzae and A. flavus and finds the aflatrem precursor 13-desoxypaxilline to be a major metabolite from A.Oryzae under certain growth conditions.
