The results suggest that low lecithin-cholesterol acyltransferase activity may cause at least some of the lipoprotein changes of obstructive jaundice.

Multivariate results showed that the positive association between HDL cholesterol and physical activity in women remained after controlling for age, estrogen status, body mass index, and smoking, and there was a significant interaction between physical activity, LDL cholesterol and an index of insulin sensitivity.
