Results indicate that K4 demethylation has two roles at GAL1, first to establish appropriate levels of K4 methylation during gene activation and second to remove K4 trimethylation during the attenuation phase of transcription. Expand
TrkB and TrkC agonist antibodies improve function, electrophysiologic and pathologic features in TremblerJ mice
Evidence is provided for potential therapeutic use of monoclonal agonist antibodies for neurotrophin receptors in CMT1A and other neuropathies and for a non-redundant effect of TrkB and TrkC AAbs. Expand
Neurotrophin-3 deficient Schwann cells impair nerve regeneration
Observations indicate that NT3(+/-) status of the SCs, but not of the axons, is responsible for impaired nerve regeneration and that NT-3 is essential for SC survival in early stages of regeneration-associated myelination in the adult peripheral nerve. Expand
A humanized Smn gene containing the SMN2 nucleotide alteration in exon 7 mimics SMN2 splicing and the SMA disease phenotype.

It is shown that the mouse and human minigenes are regulated similarly by conserved elements within inExon 7 and its downstream intron and the C>T mutation is sufficient to induce exon 7 skipping in the mouse minigene as in the human SMN2. Expand
Cross-talking between calcium and histamine in the expression of MAPKs in hypertensive vascular smooth muscle cells.

Investigation of the modulatory effect of HA on mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK) expression in vascular smooth muscle cells from both spontaneously hypertensive (SHR) and control Wistar Kyoto (WKY) rats demonstrates that cross-talking occurs between HA stimulation and Ca2+ induction during HA-induced activation of ERK 1 & 2 in VSMCs of both cell types.
