A polyphasic taxonomy of Daldinia (Xylariaceae)1
Interestingly, the current study revealed for the first time that fungal secondary metabolite profiles can have taxonomic value beyond the species rank and even coincide with phylogenetic data.

Generic hyper-diversity in Stachybotriaceae
Phylogenetic inference showed that both the genera Myrothecium and Stachybotrys are polyphyletic resulting in the introduction of 13 new genera with myro thecium-like morphology and eight new generas with stachybotrylike morphology.
Ophiostomatoid fungi (Ascomycota) associated with Pinus tabuliformis infested by Dendroctonus valens (Coleoptera) in northern China and an assessment of their pathogenicity on mature trees
The present study sought to identify the ophiostomatoid fungi associated with D. valens in northern China and understand the possible role of these fungi in the pine decline, and found that the occurrence of the dominant species L. procerum is positively linked to attack intensities of D. Valens.
Notes, outline and divergence times of Basidiomycota
Divergence times as additional criterion in ranking provide additional evidence to resolve taxonomic problems in the Basidiomycota taxonomic system, and also provide a better understanding of their phylogeny and evolution.
Global diversity and taxonomy of the Inonotus linteus complex (Hymenochaetales, Basidiomycota): Sanghuangporus gen. nov., Tropicoporus excentrodendri and T. guanacastensis gen. et spp. nov., and 17…
Morphological and phylogenetic evidence indicates that Clades B and C are new genera, and Sanghuangporus and Tropicoporus are introduced in this study, which indicates that Inonotus is a polyphyletic genus comprising at least three clades.
Perenniporiella chaquenia sp. nov. and further notes on Perenniporiella and its relationships with Perenniporia (Poriales, Basidiomycota)
Perenniporiella chaquenia sp. nov. is described from Argentina. New records of P. pendula and P. micropora are discussed. A key to Perenniporiella species is presented. Preliminary phylogenetic…
