Is the Species Flock Concept Operational? The Antarctic Shelf Case
- G. Lecointre, N. Améziane, B. David
- Environmental SciencePLoS ONE
- 2 August 2013
The present study contradicts the paradigm that marine species flocks are rare and proposes a new protocol which includes an iterative fine-tuning of the monophyly and endemicity criteria in order to discover unsuspected flocks.
Contribution to the systematics of the genus Eurythenes S.I. Smith in Scudder, 1882 (Crustacea: Amphipoda: Lysianassoidea: Eurytheneidae)
- C. D. D’ACOZ, C. Havermans
- Biology
- 10 June 2015
The analysis of DNA sequences of newly collected specimens combined with GenBank sequences revealed the existence of nine genetic lineages within E. gryllus sensu lato, and five morphospecies are recognized herein within the E. ryllus complex.

It is shown that L. seticaudata displays significant geographical variations, the Atlantic specimens and particularly those of the Azores being more robust than those from the Mediterranean Sea and the number of segments on the accessory branch of the outer antennular flagellum increases with total body size.
