Ischemia and reperfusion-induced histologic changes in the rat retina. Demonstration of a free radical-mediated mechanism.
TLDR
The SOD and EGB 761 significantly reduced the development of reperfusion-induced retinal edema and significantly prevented the neutrophil leukocyte infiltration and had a protective effect against reperfusions-induced injury when these agents were administered just before reperfuse ("late" administration).

Enhanced bronchopulmonary response to aerosol administration of acetylcholine (ACh) and 5‐hydroxytryptamine (5‐HT) was observed 3–4 hr and 18–24 hr after antigen exposure of sensitized animals, and a role of eosinophil‐derived products in the development of bronchial hyperresponsivenss remains to be established.

Effects of the platelet activating factor antagonists BN 52021 and BN 50730 on antigen‐induced bronchial hyperresponsiveness and eosinophil infiltration in lung from sensitized guinea‐pigs

The results suggest that the bronchial hyperresponsiveness observed in this study is associated with eosinophil accumulation in the lung, and the potent inhibition of the bron chopulmonary response by the two unrelated antagonists of PAF suggests that the lipid mediator is involved in its triggering and duration, but not in the eos inophil infiltration.
