Autopsy Findings and Venous Thromboembolism in Patients With COVID-19
The high incidence of thromboembolic events suggests an important role of COVID-19–induced coagulopathy, as well as possible therapeutic interventions to reduce it, in patients dying with a polymerase chain reaction–confirmed diagnosis of CO VID-19.
Induction of Staphylococcus epidermidis biofilm formation via proteolytic processing of the accumulation‐associated protein by staphylococcal and host proteases
It is found that biofilm formation in the clinically significant S. epidermidis 5179 depended on the expression of a truncated 140’kDa isoform of the 220 kDa accumulation‐associated protein Aap, and also exogenously added granulocyte proteases activated AAP, thereby inducing bio film formation in S. Epidersmidis strains.
Polysaccharide intercellular adhesin or protein factors in biofilm accumulation of Staphylococcus epidermidis and Staphylococcus aureus isolated from prosthetic hip and knee joint infections.

The benefits and harms of arterial en bloc resection for pancreatic adenocarcinoma with arterial involvement were analysed.
Androgen Receptor Deregulation Drives Bromodomain-Mediated Chromatin Alterations in Prostate Cancer.
IMP3 overexpression occurs in various important cancer types and is linked to aggressive tumor features: A tissue microarray study on 8,877 human cancers and normal tissues
IMP3 is an RNA binding protein required for ribosomal RNA processing, which has been suggested to be a prognostic marker in a large variety of human types of cancer. However, available data on the…
Prevalence of βIII-tubulin (TUBB3) expression in human normal tissues and cancers

A broad spectrum of cancers that can at least sporadically express TUBB3 is identified, including brain tumors, lung cancer, pancreatic adenocarcinoma, renal cell carcinoma, and malignant melanoma.
Multivisceral Resections in Pancreatic Cancer: Identification of Risk Factors
Multivisceral resections are technically feasible procedures with increased survival when compared to palliative bypass procedures, and the incidence of postoperative complications was increased with kidney resection and when intraoperative transfusion was required.
Mechanical ventilation and mortality among 223 critically ill patients with coronavirus disease 2019: A multicentric study in Germany
Cytoplasmic Accumulation of Sequestosome 1 (p62) Is a Predictor of Biochemical Recurrence, Rapid Tumor Cell Proliferation, and Genomic Instability in Prostate Cancer
This study identifies cytoplasmic accumulation of p62 as a strong predictor of an adverse prognostic behavior of prostate cancer independently from established clinicopathologic findings.
