Bioactive diterpenes from Orthosiphon labiatus and Salvia africana-lutea.
The known (+)-trans-ozic acid and two new labdane diterpenoids have been isolated from an ethanol extract of Orthosiphon labiatus and showed cytotoxic activity with IC50 82 and 69 microM, respectively, against a breast (MCF-7) human cancer cell line.
Analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and haematological effects of aethiopinone, an o-naphthoquinone diterpenoid from Salvia aethiopis roots and two hemisynthetic derivatives.
The compounds tested showed low toxicity and a pharmacological profile similar to other NSAI substances on reducing the edema induced by carrageenan and contractions induced by phenyl-p-quinone; the most active compounds were 1 and 2.

The antimycobacterial activities of eight diterpenes and eleven esters, 9–19, of 7α‐acetoxy‐6β, 12‐dihydroxyabieta‐8,12‐diene‐11,14‐dione and 9–14, 16, 18, and 19, as well as the NMR data of known derivatives 15 and 17 are reported.

Five known abietane diterpenes, fatty acid esters of 7alpha-acyloxy-6beta-hydroxyroyleanone, and coleon U, isolated from Plectranthus grandidentatus Gürke, were evaluated for their in vitro antiproliferative activity against five human cancer cell lines.
